John Alexander, the 38-year-old director of community affairs at the Gainesville Police Department, speaks Tuesday about the difficulties young people face when trying to eat healthy food in Gainesville at the Alachua County Library District Headquarters. Alexander spoke during the Gainesville’s Food System: A Community Conversation, and about 60 people came to the discussion.
