Crash Ends in Serious Injury

An eastbound motorcyclist collided with a vehicle traveling west on East University Avenue on Saturday afternoon. The motorcyclist ran a red light going about 80 mph and struck the vehicle, according to a GPD police report. The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was transported to Shands at UF with life-threatening injuries and, as of Sunday, remained in critical condition.
