Sherry Willey is a parent and middle school teacher in Alachua County. “Brick-and-mortar schools were not made with the goal of social distancing in mind,” she told those attending. She called for community collaboration for a safe reopening of schools with a focus on digital education. Willey’s step-father is currently hospitalized in critical condition with COVID-19.
