Jessica Ramos, an 18-year-old UF english and anthropology freshman, tears up as she remembers her grandmother, who died of lymphoma in April at the remembrance ceremony during the Light the Walk event. Ramos said her grandmother raised her. She didn’t get to go to her funeral when she died. “This helps,” Ramos said.
