From left: Gabriella Garza, an 18-year-old UF telecommunications freshman; Jennifer Almazan, a 19-year-old UF environmental science sophomore, and Ana Disla-Reyes, a 19-year-old UF biology sophomore, welcome students to the Hispanic Heritage Month Opening Ceremony with free koozies, chapsticks and portable hand sanitizers. The students, part of the event’s marketing team, helped educate attendees about Hispanic cultural clubs at UF. “It helps you keep in touch with your culture and heritage,” Garza said.
