Afsana Noor, 32, and her spouse Mahbubul Alam, a 34-year-old UF public health student, ride the Scrambler, a spinning carnival ride Sunday night at the Greater Alachua County Fair. Noor said this was the couple’s first time going to a fair in Gainesville, but it reminds her of the carnivals she went to in Bangladesh where the two are originally from.
