Evan Davis, a 26-year-old firefighter with Gainesville Fire Rescue, looks out the window of a fire engine Friday, March 28 while responding to a call. The fire turned out to be a false alarm and the engine returned to GFR Station 1, 525 S. Main St. The Alachua County Commission declared May 19 through May 25 to be Emergency Medical Services Week in Alachua County, Florida on May 14 to recognize the value and accomplishments of those in the emergency medical field.
