Yosef Glaser, a 21-year-old rabbinical student from Chicago, reads from his prayer book Tuesday before the Yom Kippur ceremony begins. Glaser is studying to be a rabbi and came to Gainesville to help with Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. He said it is customary to read a verse from the prayer book aloud to yourself before the ceremony.
