As Florida’s COVID-19 cases continue to mount, Alachua County reached a total of 150 this morning.
The Florida Department of Health confirmed an additional six cases, all of whom are Florida residents:

No deaths have been reported in Alachua County. Gainesville, which holds 115 confirmed cases, is no. 22 on the department’s daily report of city cases. Meanwhile, Alachua has eight, Hawthorne and Newberry have five, High Springs has three, Micanopy and Tioga have two and La Crosse has one confirmed.
UF also reported one more case today — a UF Building and Facilities Services employee who works within UF libraries — bringing the total number to 33.
When The Alligator asked The Florida Department of Health Sunday to explain why 16 hospitalizations were shown under the ‘Florida Cases’ tab when only 15 were reported under the 'Cases by County' tab, it declined to give an answer.
However, today, the disparity seems to be fixed. The dashboard shows the same number of hospitalizations — 18 — on both tabs. It now also shows the number of non-resident cases that have been hospitalized, which is two.
Florida’s cases topped 16,000 this morning, with a total of 354 deaths.
