Gators powerhouse offense shut down at half

I'd imagine UF fans are experiencing an odd

feeling right now, down to Auburn 14-0 at the half.

It has been so long since they've had to

stomach a loss in, well, anything, that I doubt they know how to

handle this.

The game isn't over by any means, but the

Gators have got to get their offense going.

UF ran just six plays for five yards in the

first quarter, and things didn't go too much better in the

second.

They finally showed signs of life on their

last drive, but penalties turned a promising drive into a

desperation fumble on 4th and 9.

The defense has been nothing but a speed bump

for Auburn, and suddenly Brandon Cox - who was benched earlier this

year - is looking like the Heisman candidate.

The coverage has been poor and the pass rush

almost nonexistent.

It only takes a few plays to get into Cox's

head, and when he starts hearing footsteps he is much less

effective.

It's not time to panic yet, but if UF can't

get the offense moving or some pressure on Cox they'll have to

watch the Tigers ruin another perfect record.
