Florida Gators Men’s Basketball celebrates on stage with their trophy after winning the National Championship against the Houston Cougars in the NCAA Tournament on Monday, April 7, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas.

The hardwood of Florida basketball’s historic 2025 championship run was purchased by an anonymous donor and donated to Florida Victorious, the UF Name, Image and Likeness collective, Florida Victorious announced Wednesday morning.

The court from San Antonio, Texas, will be transformed into memorabilia and auctioned to fans in collaboration with Goldin, a globally recognized leader in sports memorabilia sales, and will be featured in its December Elite Auction. Proceeds from the auction will support Florida Victorious, benefitting the Gators’ student-athletes.

“This isn’t just wood and paint — it’s the very floor where the Gators made history, where the Gators cut down the nets, and where a new chapter of Florida basketball pride was written,” said Florida Victorious CEO Erick Reasoner on its website. “Thanks to an incredible gift, we have the privilege to share that moment with Gator Nation in a tangible way — and every piece sold will directly support our student-athletes.”

The amount the court sold for is undisclosed. The University Athletic Association passed up the court’s purchase, but a replica will hang across the walls of the basketball practice facility, joining the hardwoods of the Gators’ past Final Four runs in 1994, 2000, 2006, 2007 and 2014.

The UAA purchased the 2007 Final Four court in Atlanta for $71,000 after Florida earned its second consecutive national title.

“This is such a unique way to connect Gator fans to one of the greatest moments in our program’s history,” said UF Athletic Director Scott Stricklin. “Every piece of that court represents the resiliency, toughness and team-first attitude that defined this national championship team. It’s exciting to see Florida Victorious use this opportunity to both celebrate a championship and support the student-athletes who make these moments possible.”

Further details about the auction and offered memorabilia will be announced on Florida Victorious’ website.
