No. 21 Florida (29-15, 11-9 SEC) was outscored 8-3 after the second inning as No. 7 Texas A&M (32-8, 13-6 SEC) took an 8-4 win Saturday evening at Condron Family Ballpark.
It was a career night for UF sophomore designated hitter/pitcher Caden McDonald. After only getting eight at bats this season heading into the night, McDonald put up a performance to remember at the plate.

King’s masterclass, along with a three-run homer from senior outfielder Blake Cyr, propelled No. 20 Florida (28-11, 10-6 SEC) to a 6-3 win over No. 13 Auburn (25-12, 8-8 SEC) Thursday night at Condron Family Ballpark for the team’s nation-leading 11th ranked win of the year.
The Gators’ inconsistencies on the mound were apparent on Tuesday night.
Sunday was a career day for Gators junior outfielder Hayden Yost. He went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and claimed his first multi-homer game with two long balls. Yost’s play capped off a 16-hit and four-home run day for UF after recording just two total base hits in Saturday’s loss.
Florida (26-10, 8-6 SEC) came up short in game two to No. 4 Georgia (29-7, 11-3 SEC) Saturday afternoon in Athens, Georgia, as the Bulldogs evened the series.
King’s performance, backed up by a seven-run seventh inning, propelled Florida (26-9, 8-5 SEC) to an 8-2 statement win over No. 4 Georgia (28-7, 10-3 SEC) Friday night in Athens, Georgia, to take the series opener.
