A police investigator examines the scene of an accident on Southwest 13th Street early Saturday morning after a car struck a moped, killing the driver of the moped and causing a fire. According to Gainesville Police Department Lt. David Rowe, the moped was attempting to cross Southwest 13th Street at Southwest 21st Avenue at approximately 2:45 a.m. and failed to yield to the Mercedes, which was northbound on 13th Street. The moped and its driver, a 20-year-old male, were pulled under the car and dragged approximately 200 feet before the car came to a stop.Harrison Diamond, Alligator Staff
