Florida incoming freshman wide receiver Dallas Wilson suffered a lower leg injury during the Gators’ fall training camp, per GatorCountry.
The severity of the injury and the timeline for recovery are currently unknown.
Wilson is one of several different UF receivers who have experienced the ailments of an injury during Florida’s training camp.
Gators redshirt senior Kahleil Jackson underwent a knee procedure before training camp following an ACL injury in September. Redshirt sophomores Eugene Wilson III and Aidan Mizell have also nursed undisclosed injuries since fall camp kicked off July 30.
Wilson has quickly emerged as one of UF quarterback DJ Lagway’s most talented targets and has received heavy doses of praise from his teammates throughout fall camp.
“He's given us no doubt that he's going to be who he says he's going to be,” said Gators junior tight end Hayden Hansen. “I think the best part about his game, though, is he's super humble. He's humble enough to listen to feedback and go out there and use it and just go make plays.”
In Florida’s Orange and Blue scrimmage, Wilson snagged 10 receptions for 195 yards and two touchdowns. It marked the most receptions caught during the annual scrimmage in program history.
Florida will kick off its season opener against the Long Island Sharks at 4 p.m. Aug. 30 at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
