Rising senior third baseman Kendall Grover announced her transfer from Eastern Illinois to Florida June 21 and Gators softball confirmed her official move to the program the morning of June 23.

The Mooresville, Indiana, native dominated the Ohio Valley Conference over her three years at Eastern Illinois. She is a two-time Ohio Valley Conference Player of The Year and a three time NFCA All Region selection.

Grover holds a career batting average of .387 while starting every game since joining the  Panthers. She started her college career as Eastern Illinois Female Newcomer of the Year while being named OVC Freshman of The Year. Most recently, Grover recorded a 1.000 fielding percentage and hit 10 home runs.

"We're excited to have Kendall join our program this fall," UF coach Tim Walton said. "She's a talented player with NCAA postseason experience and we're looking forward to helping her progress both on and off the field as a Gator."

She is the fourth transfer and third infielder Florida has picked up this offseason. Senior catcher/infielder Giulia Desiderio, rising junior infielder Madison Walker and rising junior catcher/outfielder Ella Wesolowski all committed earlier in June.
