Arkansas transfer guard Boogie Fland committed to Florida Tuesday morning. Fland was ranked the No. 8 player in the transfer portal, per 247Sports.

Fland, a White Plains, New York, native entered his name in both the transfer portal and in the NBA Draft but decided to withdraw from the NBA Draft May 13.

The rising sophomore went on a visit to Florida Monday and committed a day later. He has three years of eligibility remaining.

Fland was the No. 20 ranked high school recruit in the country in 2024, per 247Sports, and committed to Arkansas May 25, 2024.

The 6-foot-2-inch guard started out hot for the Razorbacks, averaging 15.1 points and 5.7 assists per game over the first 18 games of the 2024-25 season. However, he injured his right thumb in the Razorbacks’ 71-63 loss to the Gators January 11, forcing him to undergo surgery.

Fland returned in time for March Madness but came off the bench while only scoring six points over three tournament games.

Ultimately, he finished with averages of 13.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game.

“I’ve coached players with his talent and know how they are doing in the NBA, he has ‘IT,’” said Arkansas head coach John Calipari in a statement posted on X April 22.

Fland joins a revamped Florida backcourt alongside Xaivian Lee, who transferred to UF from Princeton April 16.
