Christopher Flintroyal, an 18-year-old Gainesville resident, was arrested Thursday for possession of child sexual abuse material.
Between October 2023 and December 2025, the Gainesville Police Department received 11 CyberTips alleging someone violated the platform's terms of service related to child exploitation. An investigation revealed Lillie Mabrey, a direct relative of Flintroyal, was the registered internet service provider connected to the involved platforms: Instagram, Snapchat, Discord and Dropbox.
One of the tips from Dropbox, sent on Feb. 10, 2025, contained two videos of child exploitation that had been uploaded to Flintroyal’s iCloud storage. At that time of the tip, Flintroyal was a minor.
On Thursday, after reviewing the accounts connected to the CyberTips, a detective questioned Flintroyal about the two videos found on his account. According to the arrest report, he said he had been hacked.
He was asked further about the 10 other CyberTips across multiple platforms. Flintroyal said he was involved, but the videos were shared with him in group chats when he was a minor.
Flintroyal agreed to have his two phones searched, according to the report, and he said the authorities wouldn’t find any child sexual abuse material on the devices.
After investigating one of Flintroyal’s phones, the detective found 30 videos of child sexual abuse material and placed him under arrest.
According to the report, Flintroyal said he couldn’t delete the Google Account the videos were stored in and should have.
He was charged with 10 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and booked into the Alachua County Jail.
Flintroyal’s bond amount is set for $250,000 as he awaits trial.
