A Gainesville couple lost almost $12,000 worth of jewelry Sunday morning when they were robbed at gunpoint.

Kemar Johnson, 29, and Hanna Davis, 26, were standing in front of the Palms Condominiums at 230 SW Second Ave. at about 1:30 a.m. when a pair of strangers approached them, according to a Gainesville Police report.

The suspects remained at large as of Monday afternoon, police said.

One of the suspects, wearing a red T-shirt, cocked his pistol sideways and pointed it at Johnson.

The other suspect yanked Johnson’s $1,200 white gold and diamond necklace off.

Johnson then gave up his $3,000 diamond watch, according to GPD.

The suspects also demanded Davis’ $7,500 engagement ring.

When Davis refused, the suspect in the red T-shirt slapped her in the face and forced the ring off her finger, according to the report.

Both suspects then ran north.

The suspect in the red T-shirt is about 5 feet 6 inches with gold teeth and dreadlocks, according to police.

Anyone with information is urged to call GPD at 352-393-7500.
