As we all know, kids are impressionable, odd little creatures. And sometimes, I wonder just how todays pop culture is effecting them. When you think about it, they've got influences like Miley Cyrus, a Disney star, who, like every other disney star, gave into her rebellious streak and now grinds on teddy bears. And they've got influences that aren't as widely publicized- like Malala Yousafzai, an activist who's been standing up for what she believes in since the ripe age of 12.
Today, I finally became a woman. To be more specific...today, I became a Southern woman. I spent my day sampling teas, trying on clothing from boutiques, getting a ton of free womanly things such as pink TicTacs, and accidentally eating cookies meant for women who are breast feeding. Where was I able to do all these things? Why, the Southern Women's Show of course.
