Asian group reaches out to students about culture

The Southeast Regional Conference of Asian American Leaders has invited cultural activists such as Cambodian spoken-word artist Anida Yoeu Ali and international Nathan’s hotdog-eating champion Takeru Kobayashi to UF to address issues of race, religion, class and sexuality.

Senate candidate Meek stops on campus

Meek, who is challenging Republican Marco Rubio and independent Charlie Crist,  spoke to a crowd of about 40 people on Thursday in Reitz Union Room 282 about the importance of getting yourself and others to the polls.

Correction

In an article published Wednesday, it was reported that the Student Senate voted unanimously to approve a resolution opposing block tuition at UF. The Student Senate did not vote on this legislation during Tuesday night’s meeting.
