Free speech is a funny thing, isn't it? Who decided it was OK to yell at someone for wearing fur, but illegal to yell "Fire!" in a crowded room?
Androgyny has had its place in high fashion for more than 30 years, but now it's finally made its way to the mainstream.
There is a scene in "Dan in Real Life" where one of Steve Carell's character's shrill, insufferable daughters ("She sounds like a tea kettle," to quote an earlier, better Carell movie) is pleading emotionally with him to let her boyfriend stay over. Once she uses the word "love," Carell suddenly laughs uncontrollably at his daughter's naïve stupidity. Not only is it the only genuinely funny scene in the film, but his line also accurately depicts how I felt watching "Dan in Real Life": "You've got to be kidding me."

Police found a weapon Tuesday that may have been used in the Sunday morning shooting of a Tallahassee man who later died at Shands at UF.
What is the deal with Ron Paul? Why are college students head over heels for him? We just can't figure it out.
Looking to find himself on a team filled with opportunities, Jonathan Mitchell turned to a familiar face and former Gator for advice.
Do you know what Mitt Romney ate for lunch the other day? Do you really care?
Shaun Young, a member of UF's tennis team, stripped down to his black spandex underwear Monday night to help raise money for children.

We co-sponsored the showing of the movie "Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West," and our organizations' names appeared on the fliers promoting the documentary to which Vice President of Student Affairs Patricia Telles-Irvin, on behalf of the UF administration, responded. Many of you have no doubt read Ms. Telles-Irvin's lengthy e-mail by now. Our response will be shorter.
