Correction

In Friday’s edition of the Alligator, a description of the Arizona immigration law said that police officers have the right to stop or arrest anyone in the state they think may be an illegal immigrant. The sentence should have read that police officers have the right to determine the immigration status of anyone they stop or arrest for a separate offense if they have reason to believe that person may be an illegal immigrant.

In Friday’s edition of the Alligator, it was incorrectly reported that Jay Rosen painted 27 horses for an art auction in Marion County due to an editing error. Rosen painted one of 27 horses.

For all intents and purposes, it took longer to get Friday night’s game between No. 1 Florida and No. 8 South Carolina started than it did to decide a winner. Beginning at 7 p.m., Carolina Stadium sat empty and wet for the better part of 84 minutes — hampered by a rain delay.
