The No. 2 Florida Gators (12-1, 6-1 SEC) competed in the NCAA Pittsburgh Regional Second Round Friday against No. 15 Arizona State (7-6, 4-3 PAC-12), No. 24 Maryland (17-8, 2-7 Big-10) and Penn State (11-9, 3-6 Big-10).
Thomas earned the title of Southeastern Conference Gymnast of the Year, and DiCello was named SEC Freshman of the Year. The Gators’ accolades come less than a week after their SEC title win.

The No. 3 Florida Gators (8-0, 5-0 SEC) competed at home against Missouri (4-3, 1-3 SEC) for the Gators’ Link to Pink event. Florida finished with a season-high score of 198.350 to defeat Missouri, which finished with a score of 196.625.
The undefeated No. 2 Gators (7-0, 4-0 SEC) hit the road Friday to take on Arkansas (2-3, 1-3 SEC) inside Bud Walton Arena.
The No. 2 Florida Gators (6-0, 3-0 SEC) have secured five out of their six wins at home in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center, including their victory over the Bulldogs Jan. 27.
The No. 2 Florida Gators (6-0) competed at home against Georgia (5-4) Friday night for the Gators’ alumni night. The Gators finished with a score of 197.900, edging out Georgia, which finished with a score of 196.850.
The No. 2 Florida Gators (5-0, 2-0 SEC) hit the road Friday to take on Alabama (2-1, 1-1 SEC) inside Coleman Coliseum after their exhilarating finish against the No. 5 Auburn Tigers. Florida came into the meet heavily favored, and the team lived up to its lofty expectations.
The Gators finished with a score of 197.825, edging out Auburn, which finished with a score of 197.200. The Gators won three of the four events and put on a show for the sold-out Stephen C. O’Connell Center. The 9,676-person crowd was the sixth-highest attendance in program history.
The Gators competed in a four-team meet against the West Virginia Mountaineers, the Ball State Cardinals and the Lindenwood Lions. They were playing at home, and they were the only ranked team competing. Florida came into the meet as the heavy favorite, and its performance reflected that.
The Gators were dominant in their opening meet, finishing the night with a 197.750. They earned their highest score in a season opener in Florida program history for the fifth season in a row.
Gators gymnastics brought in graduate student Rachel Baumann and junior Victoria Nguyen from rivals Georgia this summer. The moves add to the elite arsenal of weapons for the Florida team, which was just 0.1125 points away from a national title last season.
Gators Gymnastics’ chemistry, instituted by a string of fifth-year returns, will continue this Fall while incorporating former Bulldog and Florida legacy Rachel Baumann.
The now fifth-year Nya Reed will return to Gators gymnastics to wear the orange and blue one more year.
Florida Gators gymnastics star Megan Skaggs will join UF’s coaching staff for the upcoming season.
