Column: Allen Iverson belongs in the NBA Hall of Fame

Allen Iverson is officially eligible to be elected to the NBA Hall of Fame as early as 2016. The Hall of Fame made the announcement on Friday that it would be disregarding Iverson’s short amount of time playing in Turkey in 2010-11, making him eligible for the Hall of Fame’s next class earlier than previously expected, according to NBA.com’s Scott Howard-Cooper.

Florida men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams set to open season Friday

With their seasons starting on Friday at the All Florida Invitational in Gainesville, expectations are high for Florida’s men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams, led by head swimming coach Gregg Troy and diving coach Dale Schultz.

Paul Gregory, president of Mill Creek Farm, stands by the farm’s newest equine member, Cheyenne, a 30-year-old Bay Roan Grade horse. Mill Creek Farm houses horses that have been abandoned, neglected or abused. Cheyenne was starved when Okeechobee Animal Control found her.
