Cancer patients celebrate Thanksgiving a week early

Twenty-seven years ago, a grocery store chain funded the building of Gainesville’s American Cancer Society Winn-Dixie Hope Lodge for cancer patients and their families. On Thursday night, the same chain provided its first Thanksgiving dinner for current residents.

If you were to visit the official “The Hunger Games” website, you’d find a minimalist page with black borders and warm accents. You’d find stills from the film, short biographies of the actors and a link to the film’s sequel: “Catching Fire.”
