By ADAM BERRY | July 15, 2009I don't envy David Letterman. Putting together a top 10 list can be fairly difficult.

There are three events that consistently mark the middle of July on my calendar - the release of the annual update to EA Sports' NCAA Football game (which my colleague Adam Berry so generously opined on in Tuesday's paper), my birthday (today, time to do it big) and the always-interesting ESPY Awards.
In every college football off-season, there are five days worth circling on the calendar.
The moment you've eagerly been awaiting the past five days is finally here.
We are all witnesses &ndash when it's cool with LeBron James and Nike, at least.
Some moments are simply better enjoyed in person.
No matter which players take the field, what year it is or which sport is being played, rivalries will always exist in college sports.

By the time you read this, you will have only around 12 hours to fix a terrible injustice.
It's that time of the year again.
The NBA Draft used to be like a holiday to me.
One of the biggest factors in sports will never show up on a stat sheet.
On Oct. 22, I was at Tropicana Field for the Tampa Bay Rays' first-ever World Series game. My friend, who generously offered his family's extra ticket to me, still pokes fun at me for the stupid grin I had on my face for the first eight innings of the game.
As the final seconds of Game 5 ticked off the clock, it was a bittersweet moment.
It's all about perspective.
UF coaches Kevin O'Sullivan (baseball) and Tim Walton (softball) might as well have slapped hands this past week.
There's a lot of coaches not named Meyer or Donovan making headlines at UF.
As you may have noticed, coaches, players and media outlets alike are hopping on the Twitter bandwagon.
Kevin O'Sullivan's words seemed to hit Brandon McArthur like a eulogy.
