Florida’s swim team remains unbeaten against LSU all-time

Make it a combined 36-0 all-time for UF’s men’s and women’s swimming and diving team (M: 1-0, 1-0 Southeastern conference; W: 2-0, 2-0 SEC) against LSU (M: 0-1, 0-1 SEC; W 1-1, 0-1 SEC) as the Florida men’s squad defeated the Tigers by a score of 162.5-122.5 while the women won 166-134 on Friday afternoon.

UF looking to continue momentum heading into LSU dual meet

Following the Florida men and women swimming and diving teams’ fifth consecutive win in the Pinch A Penny Invitational this weekend, coach Gregg Troy has a better grasp on the talent he possesses in both of his teams as both the men and the women prepare for their dual meet against LSU on Saturday.

Florida men’s and women’s win 5th straight Pinch A Penny Invitational

The Florida swimming and diving team took care of business this weekend as both the men’s and women’s team captured their fifth consecutive title at the All Florida Invitational. The men’s squad won pretty handedly with a final score of 1,395 with Florida State coming in second with 923. While the women held a strong lead throughout the weekend, they had to stand off a tough California squad, led by four-time Olympic gold medalist winner Missy Franklin. UF finished with a score of 956 with Cal finishing behind them at 861.

UF in eighth after first day of NCAA Championships

Ten swimmers and two relays from the No. 8 Gators women’s swimming and diving team competed in Day 1 of the NCAA Championships in Minneapolis, Minn., on Thursday. Despite setting three school records, the only finals appearance Florida made was in the 400-yard medley relay.


Senior Sebastien Rousseau swims the butterfly in the men’s 400-meter individual medley on Aug. 28 in the Pinch A Penny All Florida Invitational. Rousseau and the Gators start competition at the NCAA Championships today.

Accomplished seniors looking to continue success down home stretch

With the collegiate swimming and diving regular season nearing a close, the college careers for captains senior Elizabeth Beisel and redshirt senior Sebastien Rousseau are coming to an end as well. Saturday’s dual meet against Auburn will mark the final home meet for the two Olympians along with five other seniors on the women’s side and six more for the men.

Gators looking ahead to conference-championship meet

With two dual meets remaining this season and the Southeastern Conference Championships a month away for the No. 3 Florida men (6-0, 3-0 SEC) and No. 8 women (4-2, 2-1 SEC), the season’s last head-to-head matchups are being used to gauge how Florida’s swimmers are racing and what final adjustments are needed.
