On Monday we launched a new project, called Gainesville Explorer.
It basically consists of a Google map of various locations in and around Gainesville. Each week, we will add a brief review and multimedia to one of those locations. Paynes Prairie was first.
One of the goals of this project is to highlight those local holes-in-the-wall and natural areas that many don't discover until they get tired of clubbing and decide to look elsewhere for fun. For some, this is never. And that's OK, because now we're telling you about them, and making them easy to find.
I hope we can keep this up every week throughout the semester. And keep it going. And add cool features like letting you share your photos, videos and stories with us.
