Meyer is new free-speech martyr

When I first saw the Andrew Meyer video, I was stunned that a conservative activist could act so foolish and immature. When it was revealed that he is actually a Kerry supporter, the whole ordeal made much more sense.

The police allowed Meyer's combative resistance to carry on for a disproportionately long time before using nonlethal force. I do not suspect that anything negative will happen to the officers. They performed their duties appropriately and professionally.

The only unfortunate event that occurred here is that Meyer has now been cast into the national spotlight as a martyr to many, inspiring untold numbers of the unwashed masses to create social disturbances and chaos for their shot at celebrity.
