JACKSONVILLE - Just about everybody, from players to fans to referees, especially referees, needed this 20-minute break.
Georgia leads 21-17 at halftime after a crazy first half filled with personal-foul face masks and celebration penalties.
The teams have combined for nine flags for 97 yards.
Many thought that Georgia would need Matthew Stafford to step up big with running backs Thomas Brown and Kregg Lumpkin sidelined, but the third member of the Bulldogs' running trio, redshirt freshman Knowshon Moreno, has stepped up.
Moreno has 17 carries for 68 yards and two scores so far.
Stafford has only thrown eight passes, completing four, including a career-long 84-yard touchdown to Mohamed Massaquoi.
For UF, quarterback Tim Tebow has never been pressured this much.
Georgia already has four sacks on the sophomore Heisman candidate.
Tebow has only attempted eight passes, completing six of them for 93 yards
and a score.
For Georgia to win this game, the offense will have to keep this up.
Either Moreno must keep this up, or Stafford must take control of the
game. I expect Georgia to try the former.
If the Gators are to grab their third straight win in the series, Tebow
has to lead them. He has not gotten good protection, but Tebow has proven
in the past that he can throw on the move and create his own plays while
scrambling. That Tebow has to show up.
