I hate it when I can't understand what some foreign teaching assistants and professors say.

I'm all for diverse faculty and relationships between UF and foreign universities. The problem is when students have trouble learning because they can't understand what the lecturer is saying. And if I, as a native speaker, can't understand the lecture, then how is a student who speaks English as a second language supposed to understand?

Hiring only people who speak English well is not an option, so maybe UF should provide some way for foreign T.A.s and professors to improve their English skills. I think I speak for a lot of students when I say that we need teachers that we can understand.
