The UF men's swimming team defeated Kentucky 165-129 Thursday afternoon in Lexington.

The Gators were led by their 400-yard medley relay team of Rex Tullius, Clark Burckle, Tim Hughes and Shaune Fraser as they edged out Kentucky's quarter by just under half a second.

Fraser then took the momentum in the relay and continued strong as he won the 100 freestyle, and he finished fourth in the 50 free.

Freshman Joey Pedraza earned his first career victory as the Gators swept the top four spots in the 1,000 free. Logan Storie, Eric Shrestha and Grant Johnson rounded out the top four with Pedraza.

Then Storie and Pedraza flipped finishes in the 500 free as Storie finished first and Pedraza took second.

Tullius also had more success outside of the relay, winnning the 100 backstroke. Clark Burckle also swept the breastroke events, winning the 100 and 200. Omar Pinzon also won the 200 butterfly and the 200 individual medley.

The victory kept the Gators are 14-0 all time against the Wildcats.

UF's next meet is on Nov. 16 for the Purdue Invitational.
