Safeties coach Holliday's exit not yet official

UF associate head coach and safeties coach John "Doc" Holliday said West Virginia has not contacted him on Thursday despite reports that he accepted an assistant coaching job at his alma mater.

No reports have named sources confirming the move, and UF and West Virginia's sports information departments have no word yet.

Holliday spoke to The Palm Beach Post on Thursday morning but would not comment on the situation, only saying nothing was official.

Holliday will reportedly work under Bill Stewart as an associate head coach, recruiting coordinator and a position coach for the fullbacks and tight ends.

If Holliday is indeed gone, it leaves UF coach Urban Meyer with two spots to fill on his staff.

Running backs coach Stan Drayton left to accept the same job at Tennessee on Tuesday.
