Janie Fouke, former UF provost, is a finalist for the presidency of the University of South Carolina.
The other two finalists are Geri Hockfield Malandra, vice chancellor for strategic management for the University of Texas System, and Harris Pastides, vice president for research and health sciences at the university.
A final decision will be made by the university's Board of Trustees on Friday, according to a Wednesday news release from the university.
