Freshman Stefani Stojic swings at the ball during her  first round singles match against USF freshman Olaya Garrido-Riyas on Oct. 10 during the Bedford Cup at the Ring Tennis Complex.

On Day 3 of the USTA Clay Court Invitational, all of the participating Gators fell in their respective matches.

The freshman duo of Stefani Stojic and Kourtney Keegan won their first match against Ines Deheza and Paula Deheza of Texas A&M, but later fell against Vanderbilt’s Ashleigh Antal and Marie Casares in the semifinals. On the singles court, Kourtney Keegan fell to her opponent, Peggy Porter, 6-2, 6-1.

With their losses, the Gators conclude their run at the tournament.

Next up, UF will compete at the USTA/ITA National Indoor Championships in Flushing, N.Y., from Nov. 7-10.

During this event, Florida will most likely feature Alex Cercone and Brianna Morgan, who both are waiting on an invitation to the tournament.
