For the Lolz: Why we love Francis Underwood of 'House of Cards'

Don’t lie. You know you’re obsessed with House of Cards. To be honest, it would be impossible not to be. The show is fantastic, the cinematography is amazing, the plot and drama are to die for and the characters are complex, mysterious, and just overall phenomenal. The most intricate, memorizing character of them all is obviously Francis Underwood, the majority whip turned vice president who charmed and quite honestly scared us into loving him. Let’s take a minute to go over why we would want someone like good old Frank on our side.

He is articulate.

He knows how to express and conduct himself verbally, without sounding like a pretentious asshole. Instead he comes off as smart, eloquent, and knowledgeable. Honestly, just being near him makes you smart by association.

He is cunning.

The man went from being the majority whip to VP just by talking his way up the political ladder. Literally, every move he makes is precise and calculated, but you would never know it. He is a total maniacal genius under the guise of an amicable southern gentleman. Would you like some sweet tea with that?

You will probably be under wood if you don’t like him.

And by under wood, I mean in a coffin … because truthfully, things don’t end well for people are not on his side. More often than not, the people against him or the people who start asking too many questions end up dead.  But who doesn’t want someone with that much power on their side anyway!?

If you know what’s good for you, you will just do your best to stay on his good side, and if not, just stay out of his way.
