Hi there!
I’m Elly, and I’m a rising senior at the University of Florida. As a journalism major with plans to graduate in the fall, my sights are currently set on working in the fashion publication industry in the Big Apple – literally.
You see, stylin’ Gators, this summer I’ll be blogging to the Gator Nation from New York City, where I’m interning at a style magazine in the fashion features/credits department. This means I do a little of everything from pitching fashion stories to web and researching new philanthropic designers to helping out in the fashion closet.
And while I may be elbow-deep in the latest designer duds (merely organizing them, of course!), I’m also keeping a well-trained eye on the horizon for trending street style looks easily rocked by students. So if there’s a new hemline swishing through the skirts of Manhattanites or platform sandal stomping the streets of Brooklyn, you’ll be sure to get a post on it from me! And not just that, but you’ll learn how to nab the look without nailing your wallet.
