For your entertainment: Radiohead is back at it

NME recently named Radiohead the most influential act in music today.

Although Radiohead released its first album in 1993 (good year – I was born) to a less-than-overwhelming response, its legacy has developed tremendously over the past decade.

Mostly due to the success of “Creep,” the hit that became an internationally beloved anthem for those who have ever felt alienated or alone – hello, everyone – the band has experienced great success with almost every album since.

In 2011, Radiohead released its most recent collection, “The King of Limbs.” In 2012, the band toured. What’s happened since is basically this: Thom Yorke has played in side projects and done Thom-y things, and Radiohead’s official app Polyfauna was launched in February. Polyfauna is an interactive journey through trippy animated worlds imagined to excerpts of Radiohead’s previous work.

Not to mention, Radiohead is also back in the studio. Although drummer Phil Selway has already told NME that the band has no idea what the album will contain, the point is that there will be new music. The band will begin the writing and recording process in October.  In the mean time, Polyfauna will feature any new bits of music as it is released.
