University Police arrested two UF students Thursday night after they reportedly had drugs and paraphernalia in their dorm room.

About 10:20 p.m. Thursday, UPD and Gainesville Fire Rescue’s Hazardous Materials Response Team found a leaking propane torch in Liam A. Gonzalez’s and Steven L. Breiter’s room in Rawlings Hall after a resident smelled gas, said UPD spokesman Maj. Brad Barber. Authorities discovered gear commonly used to smoke and store dabs — a concentrated, THC-based oil, according to a police report. They also discovered glass pipes, orange-and-blue grinders and rolling papers, according to the report.

The students, both 18, also had a bottle of Fireball Whiskey and nine Blue Moon beers, according to the report. Both are listed in the UF directory as students.

"At the moment, my attorney has advised me that it’s probably best not to speak about the situation," Gonzalez said.

Breiter could not be contacted as of press time. Police arrested Gonzalez and Breiter, each on 14 charges for the possession of drug paraphernalia, two charges of marijuana possession and two charges for the possession of alcohol by a minor. Breiter received an additional charge for fraud after authorities reportedly found a fake Rhode Island driver’s license, according to the report. Authorities took them to the Alachua County Jail, where they were released Friday afternoon on their own recognizance.
