University Police arrested two people and ejected 38 people from Saturday’s football game against Louisiana State University.

Neither arrests were of UF students, but nine of the 38 people ejected were UF students, according to a UPD press release. Police gave an unnamed person a notice to appear in court for disorderly intoxication instead of booking him in the Alachua County Jail.

Cassandra Thompson, 28, of Gainesville, was ejected from the game and then tried to get back inside the stadium, according to a Gainesville Police arrest report.

Officers stopped Thompson, and she tried to pull away from them several times, according to the report. At one point she hit an officer in the chest, police said.

She arrested on a charge of hitting an officer. It is unclear why she was ejected from the game.

Thompson was released from the Alachua County Jail on Sunday morning without bond. She declined to comment.

Of those ejected, 18 were for possession of alcohol, 10 for disorderly conduct, six for intoxication, two for smoking, one for standing on the bleachers and one for using another student’s Gator 1 Card.

There were more than twice the number of ejections at the LSU game than at the first home game of the season against Charleston Southern, which had 15 in total.
