A picture of Orell Gordon, 23, who was found dead. 

Deputies are investigating the murder of a Gainesville man shot early Monday morning.

Orell Gordon, 23, was found dead with a gunshot wound by Alachua County Sheriff’s Office deputies on the 3700 block of Southeast 15th Street, near Boulware Springs Park, according to a press release.

Deputies were called about a man lying on the side of the road and found Gordon just after midnight, the release said.

The investigation is ongoing, and deputies are asking for the public’s help to find Gordon’s family. ACSO is working to find more evidence, possible crime scenes and witnesses, deputies said.
