Florida sophomore Taylor Ault notched two second-place finishes in both the 500 free (4:48.38) and the 1,650 free (16:29.57) in her last meet.

Florida’s swimming and diving teams travel to Alabama this Saturday to face Auburn at the James E. Martin Aquatic Center, looking to remain undefeated in conference play.

The Gators’ men’s and women’s teams, ranked No. 6 and No. 8 in the CSCAA Top 25, respectively, have not hit the water since defeating Ohio State (No. 13 men; No. 15 women) and Kentucky (No. 10 women) nearly three weeks ago.

Despite losing to Texas in their last dual meet, the Tigers’ swimming and diving teams made some waves in the latest installation of the CSCAA Top 25. Auburn’s men found their way back in the Top 25 for the first time since the preseason poll, coming in at No. 25. The women’s team jumped up 10 spots from No. 17 to No. 7, its highest ranking in the last three seasons.

UF’s men’s team beat the Tigers last season 182-114 and have won six of the last seven meetings dating back to the 2011-2012 campaign. Florida’s women, however, have lost the last two meetings against Auburn.

Swimmers to Watch

Gators junior Maxime Rooney won all four individual events he competed in against the Buckeyes and Wildcats, posting NCAA B Cuts in both the 100 fly and 200 free. He was also a part of two relay victories. Rooney was named SEC Swimmer of the Week for his performances.

Florida sophomore Taylor Ault notched two second-place finishes in both the 500 free (4:48.38) and the 1,650 free (16:29.57) her last time out. She played a big role in the team’s last win and will be crucial to the team’s success this time.

The dual meet between Florida and Auburn, which airs live on SECN+, will begin Saturday morning at 11 a.m. ET with the men’s 1-meter and the women’s 3-meter diving competitions. The swimming portion will start at noon.
