The Gators haven’t played a match in over a week.
Last time out, Florida took care of business in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, beating the Crimson Tide in three sets.
Saturday marks the 16th ever meeting between the Gators and Missouri. Head coach Mary Wise has led Florida (13-6, 7-2) in all 15 previous meetings and has a 10-5 record over the Tigers.
Missouri (4-19, 1-9) doesn’t have the luxury of rest heading into Saturday’s match. The Tigers lost to Araknsas on Wednesday night in straight sets. Through 10 conference games, they have won only six total sets and seven of their nine losses have been sweeps.
The schools’ most recent matchup was March 13. The Gators swept the Tigers (25-10, 25-19, 25-18) and recorded a .513 hitting percentage, their best mark last season. Right side Holly Carlton led the way with a blistering 23 kills, while T’ara Ceasar and Thayer Hall added 10 and nine, respectively.
This season, Florida ranks atop the SEC in hitting percentage (.298) and assists per set (12.94). Gators fans can thank setter Marlie Monserez for that success. The senior is third in the conference and 14th nationally in assists per set with 11.03.
The Gators ride a two-game win streak into the Hearnes Center. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. EST and the game can be streamed on SEC Network+.
