Florida guard/forward Me'Arah O'Neal (8) passes the ball during an NCAA college basketball game against Chattanooga, Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, in Gainesville, Fla.

Sophomore guard Me’Arah O’Neal has entered the transfer portal, as announced today by On3.

Florida’s “Big 3” of O’Neal, guard Liv McGill and Laila Reynolds has completely crumbled with the opening of the 2026 transfer portal cycle, leaving the Gators facing significant roster uncertainty.

During the 2025–26 season, O’Neal played a major role in powering Florida’s offense, leading the team in both field-goal percentage (52.9%) and three-point shooting (38.1%).

She made an immediate impact to start the year, recording double-doubles in each of her first three games: 14 points and 11 rebounds against North Florida (Nov. 3), 14 points and 10 boards against Chattanooga (Nov. 6), and 20 points with 11 rebounds against Jacksonville (Nov. 10).

Beyond her offensive efficiency, O’Neal anchored the Gators defensively, leading the team with 47 total blocks while averaging 6.4 rebounds per game, providing consistent rim protection throughout the season.

Her departure further weakens Florida’s core, leaving a noticeable gap in both scoring efficiency and interior defense as the program looks to regroup under new head coach Tammi Reiss.
