Florida got a commitment from gymnast Danielle Ferris, as Ferris announced on her Instagram Sunday.

UF held its 14th Biennial Muscular Research Conference from Wednesday until today. The Advances in Skeletal Muscle Biology in Health and Disease symposium is an international conference on studying and combating muscle wasting diseases. About 300 people were registered to attend the event, which featured 36 speakers. This year marked the grand opening of a new institute dedicated to myology, the study of muscles. The new institute plans to make UF the muscle hub of the research community, said Dr. Michael Good, the dean of the College of Medicine.
