As the final competitor in the NCAA Championships, Bridgette Caquatto needed at least a 9.95 on her floor exercise to boost Florida into a tie for first place alongside Oklahoma.

In the biggest stage of her young career, the sophomore out of Naperville, Ill., came through in the clutch for the Gators by earning exactly a 9.95, which tied a career best and sealed UF’s second straight national title.

“I had no idea what I needed going in, but the minute I came down (off the podium) and landed and they flashed the score, it was crazy,” Caquatto said.
