Corrine Gurry, who has lived in Daytona Beach for about four and a half years, holds a boogie board and an “open” sign she found as she surveys the damage caused by Hurricane Matthew on Friday. Gurry said the sand dunes, which ran for miles on Daytona Beach, were all swept away by the storm surge. “Holy moly oly,” she said while walking on the boardwalk.
