Paul Austin, a 21-year-old UF veterinary medicine student, performs a trick on his skateboard Tuesday evening at Possum Creek Park, 4009 NW 53rd Ave. Austin works full time as the head assembly technician specialist at Fabco-Air, Inc. and takes all of his classes online, but he said he tries to practice skating at least two or three times per week. “It’s my way to get out and be free,” Austin said. “It’s like flying to me.”
