She’s a world-renowned American actress and country singer.
But she might not be the only performer at Gator Growl, held on Nov. 6 at Flavet Field, said Santiago Ramirez, Gator Growl’s AP of Communications.
Starting Tuesday, talent hints for Gator Growl were posted on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. The talent will be revealed Monday, and students will be able to guess who the talent is on social media until Sunday, Ramirez said.
But there’s a catch: Students won’t know how many performers will be at Gator Growl, he said.
If they can correctly guess all performers on social media by Sunday, Ramirez said they will win a tank top and T-shirt.
"This year’s talent is hopefully going to capture the Gator Nation," the 21-year-old said.
Those planning Gator Growl are taking student surveys from last year’s event into consideration, Ramirez said.
To address long lines at food trucks, he said they are trying to bring more trucks, including some serving concession-stand-type foods, like hot dogs and nachos.
With the changes, tickets are expected to sell out before Gator Growl again, Ramirez said.
This year’s theme is "Be the Tradition," and students can share their tradition stories with #myUFtradition, he said.
"Every student really has their own story to tell and to just experience here," Ramirez said.
Tristan Ahlquist, who is facilitating Gator Growl public relations, said he likes the event’s heavy emphasis on tradition-making.
"It unites the past, present and future of Growl," the plant science junior said.
