The internet has allowed unorthodox artists and bands who may not have normally risen to stardom gain worldwide attention and dedicated fan bases. However, the advent of torrenting and other forms of illegal downloading have sparked an ongoing debate on whether torrenting sites like the Pirate Bay damage an artists' success or spread their music to new audiences. While that debate continues to remain relevant, for this blog I will discuss a sub-issue of sorts: the downloading of leaked songs or albums.

Electronic dance music, or EDM for short, has quickly become a formidable genre in the always-dynamic world of music. Once a genre many wrote off for a variety of reasons (notably the way most songs abstained from including lyrics or the repetitive nature when compared to pop songs), it is now the most profitable genre in the world. It has its own culture, it appeals to the young and old alike, and it has created a movement in the way it has altered other genres (most seen in numerous pop songs today).

Music festivals in the United States have experienced massive growth in size and scope over the past few years. While European countries have held them for years, Americans are finally gravitating toward the music festival experience. They appeal to people for a variety of reasons, most notably in the fact that they accumulate hundreds of artists for a flat price point (a price which is ultimately much cheaper than paying for many individual concerts).

Bright stage lights suddenly dimmed as thousands of people yelled and screamed in anticipation. A cube lit up, which revealed a kitchen table and gray smoke. Suddenly two silhouettes appeared and burst to life as everyone sprung from their seats and cheered in utter glee.
